- Step 1
Generously sprinkle Grampa Dub’s Signature Seasoning on all sides of the Tri tip roast. Place in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to 24 hours.
- Step 2
Remove meat from refrigerator 20 minutes prior to grilling.
- Step 3
Preheat grill to medium-high heat to 450º F. And set up for direct/indirect cooking.
- Step 4
Place Tri Tip over direct heat and grill for 5-7 minutes on first side, then flip and grill for an additional 5-7 minutes on the second side.
- Step 5
indirect heat and continue cooking until internal temperature reaches 115-120°F (Temperature will continue to rise as the meat rests, to medium rare). Remove from grill and let rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
